Our Lady Queen of Martyrs has just added two new virtual academic enrichment programs: Math Enrichment Program for additional support and Living Environment Enrichment Program for NYS Regents Program.
These programs are in addition to the advanced Science Curriculum, which already includes a robust Animal Husbandry Program, where students are exposed to an animal-friendly atmosphere that encourages healthy learning interaction between students and animals. This program includes one macaw, an array of tropical and non-tropical fish, three cockatoos, 23 red ear slider turtles, parakeets, canaries, finches, cockatiels, 6 Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches, 1 African Fat-Tailed Gecko, 2 Cane Toads, 1 Guinea Pig, 1 Corn Snake, 2 Bearded Dragons, and Superworms.
Our School also runs a solar-powered Greenhouse, located on the 5,000 square-foot rooftop of the school. Every year, we have students accepted into the Regis Reach Program, a 15-month academic enrichment program that stresses high academics, and summer and Saturday learning. Courses include Latin, ISEE Test Prep, English, Mathematics, Writing and Technology. A mindfulness curriculum is also incorporated into the Prep Academy program to encourage wellness and concentration.
An extended year program has been offered to all students throughout the Archdiocese to help fill achievement gaps and Our Lady Queen of Martyrs is one of the few schools hosting an in-person extension program for students transitioning from Pre-K to Kindergarten.
We hope you'll join us in September!
